New threats target the government every single day. In order to gain the cyber advantage, government agencies are looking to industry experts in the Federal Systems Integrator community to update their digital transformation strategies. The focus is on reducing risk, modernizing IT infrastructures and hiring leading talent.
When it comes to cybersecurity, government agencies have struggled with building, managing and maintaining the security of their own IT environments, as well as addressing a cyber workforce shortage. According to the Center for Strategic & International Studies, the global cybersecurity workforce shortage will reach 1.8 million unfilled positions by 2022 [1]. Key government officials have responded saying this shortage will be a national security issue if it’s not turned around soon [2]. To help automate cybersecurity and make up for the skill shortage, System Integrators, the likes of Microsoft, Verizon and AT&T, are now employing Enterprise-IT-as-a-Service or Cybersecurity-as-a-Service programs for government agencies.
Fidelis Cybersecurity is a leading provider of threat detection, hunting and response solutions. In February 2020, we were announced as the winner of DreamPort’s rapid prototyping event (RPE) by the U.S. Cyber Command. Dubbed “The Rotten Apple in the Bushel,” the competition gave eight cybersecurity vendors the challenge of detecting compromised accounts from multiple network packet capture samples within a short window of time. Fidelis Network, the network traffic analysis component of the Fidelis Elevate platform, was used to collect, analyze and detect anomalous network activity. The capability gap aligned with the Commander’s Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs), considered a critical requirement to the decision-making process that affects successful mission accomplishment.
As seen from the Rotten Apple in the Bushel Challenge, Fidelis has been a strong competitor in the federal cybersecurity space and has a long history as a trusted security provider for more than 40 Civilian, Defense and Intelligence agencies, including System Integrators. We aim to be a valuable partner for more FSIs, delivering unmatched data protection, threat detection, intelligence, and incident response solutions. With a deep bench of subject matter expertise developed and homed in on Government, Defense, and Intelligence environments, Fidelis has intimate knowledge of the unique challenges government security teams face every day.
Fidelis Cybersecurity offers Network Traffic Analysis, Digital Forensics and Incident Response as individual solutions, or as an integrated, unified platform to detect, hunt and respond to the most advanced threats. We outlined just some of the capabilities we use to deliver the decisive advantage to our government customers:
Fidelis Cybersecurity provides the roadmap for a secure government with continuous, real-time visibility across the environment and automation to propel the efficiency and speed of security operations.
