VP of Product Management

The VP of Product Management will be responsible for product planning, product marketing and overall product and market positioning for the company. This includes managing the product throughout the product life cycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product and market vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver award-winning products to the marketplace. This key position must also ensure that the product management efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

The Vice President of Product Management is expected to:

Define the product strategy, roadmap, and milestones
Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Develop the core positioning and messaging for our products and their markets
Develop product marketing and sales tools
Develop and coordinate customer-facing programs to include beta release programs, customer advisory board, etc.
Brief press as well as analysts and speak on behalf of Fidelis at industry conferences
Develop competitive analysis
Monitor product line mix, profitability ,market performance and product and market trends
Drive product pricing models for entire product line
Positioned externally as an industry thought leader through industry-related speaking engagements, writing for journals, blog postings, etc.
Work with CTO to develop new market/product “vision” beyond current product line

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Deep domain knowledge of the networking and security markets

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in the network and/or security market
Bachelors Degree is required, Computer Science or technical discipline or equivalent experience; Masters Degree in Engineering or Business a plus
Experience in world-wide markets
Fluency in a second language a plus

Customer Support Engineer

Post-sales customer support engineers are sought to address and resolve customer issues. The candidate must have experience with network security and network administration of Linux or UNIX equipment. The candidate must have experience interfacing with customers and must be willing to travel.

The right candidate will possess experience with programming and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl, Bash, C, C++, or similar.

The position requires 5+ years of relevant experience.

Network Security Management Platform Software Engineer

Software engineers are sought to contribute the software design, implementation, and verification of the Fidelis network security management console. The candidate must have experience in the development of software products and must possess expert knowledge of C++ and Database Applications in a Linux or UNIX development environment.

The right candidate will have experience with one or more database application, such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, or similar products. Their experience must include the development of database schema and database interface software. Experience with the implementation of web applications, using Java, J2EE, JSP, JSF, AJAX, and similar is strongly desired.

The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. A BSCS (or equivalent) is required; an MSCS is preferred.

Security Clearance is not required.

Software Engineer for Network Security

Software engineers are sought to contribute the software design, implementation, and verification of Fidelis network security products. The candidate must have experience in the development of software products and must possess expert knowledge of C in a Linux or UNIX development environment.

The right candidate will have experience with the development of application protocols (such as SMTP, IMAP, MAPI) or communication applications (such as sendmail, qmail, postfix). Senior Network Equipment Test Engineer

The senior software test engineer will contribute to product verification and Quality Assurance (QA) of a state-of-the-art network security product.

The right candidate will have experience in the verification of network equipment products, such as security appliances, routers or switches. The right candidate will also have strong knowledge of automated verification efforts with experience in C/C++, Perl, Tcl, Python, or similar programming languages.

The ideal candidate will also have experience with the verification of secure software applications. Such experience should include knowledge of secure programming practices, security exploits, penetration testing, and similar.

The position requires 5+ years of relevant experience. A BSCS (or equivalent) is required; an MSCS is preferred.

Support Engineer

Numbers of years experience. 3+

Relevant project work (prior start up experience, network security, etc)

Must haves (Technology speaking - environment, programming languages, )

Background in networks and network security
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and administration
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
Technical excellence and professional delivery and communication
Experience with Unix/Linux
Experience with networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, network taps.
Four-year degree in a computer-related discipline is required but can be replaced by experience

Big pluses (nice to haves, technology speaking)

Since person in this position may do local office IT support as needed, experience in practical IT support/networking is a big plus

Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsible for the validation and quality of state-of-the-art network security products. Research customer requirements and market demands. Create test plans to assure product features meet requirements. Execute test plan individually or by directing junior engineers through task execution. Develop automated test scripts that allow feature testing to be performed within an ongoing nightly regression test suite.

Requires Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field + 5 years progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in network product validation.

Prior experience must include programming or scripting in Perl, Python, Tcl, C, or C++; developing automated test scripts;test plan creation and execution; and exp with network generation and analysis equipment.
